What is Padel Arena?

Padel Arena connects independent padel coaches directly with players. You can book lessons, organise your own matches, join open matches near you and track your ranking — all in one app. There is no club or agency in the middle, so coaches keep more of what they charge and you pay less.

Is Padel Arena free?

It is free for players: creating an account, finding coaches and joining matches costs nothing, and you only pay for the sessions you actually book. Coaches pay a subscription to offer lessons, starting with a one-month free trial.

Do I need to download an app from the store?

Accepted Answer

No. Padel Arena is a progressive web app — open app.padelxarena.com in your browser and you're in. On your phone you can use “Add to Home Screen” for an app-like icon and a full-screen experience, without any app store.

How do I create an account?

Sign up with your email and a password, or use Google Sign-In. If you register with an email address we send you a confirmation link, which you need to open before logging in. After that you set your name, level and location and you're ready to play.

Which languages does the app support?

English, Spanish and Dutch, and you can switch language at any time from the app. Our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are kept in English only, so there is no ambiguity between language versions.

Where can I use Padel Arena?

We're launching in the Netherlands and growing city by city, starting around Amsterdam. You can create an account from anywhere, but you'll find the most coaches and open matches in the cities where we've already launched. Coaches pick the cities they cover, so search your area to see who is available.

Does Padel Arena book the court for me?

No — and this is the most important thing to know. Padel Arena does not manage or reserve courts at any club. You book the court directly with the club yourself, then create the session in the app so other players, and a coach if you want one, can join it.

How do I create a match?

Accepted Answer

Pick a date and time, choose singles or doubles, indoor or outdoor, and a duration of 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Add the club, court and address, decide whether the match is public or private, and optionally set a level range. Sessions have to start at least 24 hours after you create them.

What are open matches?

Open matches are public sessions other players created and still need people for. Browse them by date, time, duration, court type and level, see who is already in each team and who organised it, then join with one tap. Private matches never appear in that list — only players with the share code can join them.

Can I control who joins my match?

Yes. Set a minimum and maximum level when you create the session and players outside that range won't be able to join. If you'd rather keep it to people you know, make the match private and send them the share code.

Is there a chat for each match?

Every booking has its own group chat for the players who have joined. It also posts automatic updates when someone joins or leaves, when the match is confirmed, and if it gets cancelled.

How do rankings and ranks work?

You earn points for every match you play, and more of them when you beat opponents ranked above you. Those points move you through five ranks — Initiate, Intermediate, Proficient, Advanced and Pro — while the app tracks your wins, losses and current streak, both lifetime and for the running season.

Who enters the score after a match?

When the match is over the app asks you — or the coach, for a coached session — to upload the score. The other players confirm it, and once it's confirmed the result updates everyone's ranking.

What happens if someone doesn't pay in time?

If not everyone has paid by the deadline, the match is marked invalid and everyone who already paid is refunded. You get a notification explaining what happened, so nobody is left guessing.

How do I find a coach?

Open Find a Coach and search by coach, club or city. You can filter by location, Playtomic level, ranking tier, minimum rating and maximum price, or use the shortcuts for top rated and verified coaches. Tap the heart on a profile to keep a coach in your favourites.

How much does a lesson cost?

Coaches set their own hourly rates, so prices differ per coach and are shown on their profile before you book. A coach can charge differently depending on whether they play in the match or coach from the side. If the court has to be paid for too, that cost is split between the players and listed separately before you pay.

Does the coach play in the match?

That's up to the coach and it's decided per session: they either join a team and play with you, or coach from the sideline without playing. Which one applies is shown on the booking, and coaches can price the two roles differently.

Can I cancel a lesson or a match?

Standard matches between players can be cancelled, or left, up to 1 hour before the start time. Lessons follow the cancellation window each coach sets — 12, 24 or 48 hours before the start — shown on their profile and at booking time. Cancelling after that deadline may not be refundable, at the coach's discretion.

How close to the start can I book a coach?

Coaches can generally be booked up to 2 hours before the session starts. Some allow bookings closer to the start time; whatever a coach has set is reflected in the availability shown on their profile.

Can I review a coach?

You can leave one review per coach, and the star rating on a profile is the average of all reviews that coach has received. Reviews must be honest, respectful and based on a real session — false or abusive reviews can be removed and can cost you your account.

Are coaches employed or vetted by Padel Arena?

No. Coaches are independent, self-employed professionals who use the platform to find players and take payments. We don't employ, supervise or train them, we're not a party to the lesson you agree with them, and they are responsible for their own qualifications, insurance and tax obligations. Use profiles, levels and reviews to pick the right coach for you.

How do payments work?

All payments run through Stripe, our payment provider. The money goes straight from you to the coach's own Stripe account — Padel Arena never holds, receives or intervenes in those funds, and your card or bank details never reach our servers.

Which payment methods can I use?

You pay in Stripe's secure payment form, which offers the methods available where you are — cards, iDeal and wallets such as Google Pay in the Netherlands.

Do I pay for the whole session?

No, each player pays their own share. Before you confirm, the app shows a breakdown of exactly what you're paying for: your part of the court and, for a coached session, your part of the lesson.

Is there a commission?

Stripe deducts a commission from every payment made to a coach, so the coach receives slightly less than the amount you pay. The exact amount depends on the payment method used.

When do I get my money back after a cancellation?

If you leave a booked match or lesson before the applicable cancellation deadline, your refund is issued within a maximum of 10 days. Cancelled and invalid matches are refunded the same way, and you're notified in the app when it happens.

Something went wrong with a payment. What now?

Report it from Settings → Report a Problem in the app and our support team picks it up. Mention the session and the date so we can find the payment quickly.

What does the coach subscription cost?

You can start with a one-month free trial, no credit card required. After that it's €10 per month, €45 for six months or €75 for a year, with the longer plans paid once up front.

How and when do I get paid?

During setup you connect a Stripe payments account: you verify your identity and add your bank details. From then on players pay you directly, the money lands in your Stripe account, and you can follow every payout from the Stripe dashboard.

What can I configure as a coach?

From your coaching dashboard you set your weekly availability, the cities you coach in, the languages you speak, your cancellation policy (12, 24 or 48 hours) and your hourly pricing — including separate rates for playing in the match or coaching from the side.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your payment method, switch plan or cancel.

What happens if my subscription expires?

Your coaching profile stops taking new bookings until you renew. Your account, profile, reviews and history stay exactly as they are — subscribe again and everything comes back.

Is there a minimum age to coach?

There's no minimum age for a normal player account, but you must be at least 18 to open a payments account and receive payments as a coach. We may ask for proof of age before enabling payments on a coach account.

What is the Founding Coach programme?

For every new area we put together a first group of coaches. Founding coaches get a full year of coach subscription free, priority visibility with players looking for a coach, and a direct say in the features we build next. Signing up for the programme is a separate step from creating your account.

What data do you collect about me?

Your email address, your password (stored hashed — we never see it), your first and last name, your avatar, your preferred language, and your Google ID if you sign in with Google. We don't collect or store card or bank details; Stripe handles all of that. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, at any time — you only need to settle any pending bookings, payments or refunds first. We then delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep something, such as financial records.

How do I exercise my GDPR rights?

Write to contact@contact.padelxarena.com to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to or restrict how we process it. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time, and you can always complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

What is Playtomic verification?

You can submit your Playtomic profile URL and level (0 to 7) for review. Once we validate it, your level in the app updates to match and your profile is marked “Playtomic Verified”, which helps players and coaches find the right level of match. We can reject, ask for more evidence for, or reverse a verification if the information isn't accurate or is out of date.

Someone behaved badly. How do I report it?

Report the person from their profile via Submit a Problem, or contact support from Settings → Report a Problem. Discrimination, harassment, threats, abusive behaviour, defamation and fraud are not tolerated and can lead to immediate suspension or permanent removal — and to a report to the authorities where relevant.

Is there a minimum age to use the app?

There's no minimum age for a general account, though you must be 18 to receive payments as a coach. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child signed up without your consent, contact us and we'll review the account.

Who is responsible if something happens during a session?

Accepted Answer

Sessions are arranged directly between users, and Padel Arena is not responsible for injuries, accidents, losses, no-shows or the quality of a lesson.
