Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 July 2026

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Padel Arena, a progressive web application ("the Platform", "the App") operated by Padel Arena, established in the Netherlands ("we", "us", "our").

The Platform connects independent padel coaches ("Coaches") with players ("Players") so that they can arrange lessons and matches directly with one another, without any club or intermediary organisation. Collectively, Coaches and Players are referred to as "Users".

By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

Padel Arena is a marketplace and matchmaking platform only. We do not employ, supervise, train, or manage Coaches, and we are not a party to any lesson, session, or match arranged between Users.

Coaches are independent, self-employed professionals who operate on a freelance basis. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, agency, partnership, or joint venture between Padel Arena and any Coach or Player. Coaches are solely responsible for their own tax, insurance, licensing, and legal obligations arising from the services they provide.

Players acknowledge that Padel Arena does not select, vet on their behalf, or guarantee the qualifications, conduct, or performance of any Coach, and that all arrangements for lessons or matches are made directly between Users.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

There is no minimum age to create a general User account on the Platform. However, in order to open a payments account and receive payments as a Coach, you must be at least 18 years old. We may request proof of age before enabling payment functionality for any Coach account.

If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate parental or guardian consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information and, where necessary, suspend the associated account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal data may contact us using the details in Section 14.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.

4. User Conduct

To keep the Platform safe and respectful, the following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the Platform, without prior warning and at our sole discretion:

  • Discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or age;
  • Insulting, harassing, threatening, or abusive behaviour towards other Users or our staff;
  • Defamation, or posting false or misleading statements intended to damage another User's or the Platform's reputation;
  • Fraudulent activity, impersonation, or circumventing the Platform's payment or review systems;
  • Any other conduct that we reasonably consider harmful to Users, the Platform, or the padel community.

We reserve the right to investigate reported behaviour and to take any action we consider appropriate, including warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, and reporting to law enforcement where relevant.

5. Bookings, Cancellations & Scheduling

5.1 Standard bookings (matches)

Standard bookings between Players may be cancelled, or a Player may leave, up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time without penalty, subject to Section 6 (Payments).

5.2 Lessons

Each Coach configures their own cancellation window for lessons, which will be either 12, 24, or 48 hours before the scheduled start time. This window is displayed on the Coach's profile and/or at the time of booking. Cancellations made after the applicable deadline may not be eligible for a refund, at the Coach's discretion, in accordance with Section 6.

5.3 Advance booking window

Coaches can generally be booked up to 2 hours before a session is due to start. Individual Coaches may choose to allow bookings closer to the start time than this; where enabled, this will be reflected in their availability shown on the Platform.

6. Payments

All payments made through the Platform are processed entirely by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. Padel Arena does not collect, store, or process your card or bank details, and payment funds are transferred directly from the Player to the Coach's Stripe account — Padel Arena does not hold, receive, or intervene in these funds at any point.

A commission is deducted by Stripe from each payment made by a Player to a Coach. As a result, the Coach will not receive the full amount paid by the Player. The exact commission may vary depending on the payment method used.

If a Player leaves a booked match or lesson before the applicable cancellation deadline (see Section 5), a refund will be issued within a maximum of 10 days.

If you experience any issue relating to a payment, you can contact our support team via Settings > Report a Problem within the app.

7. Reviews & Ratings

Players may leave one review per Coach. Multiple reviews of the same Coach by the same Player are not permitted, and duplicate reviews may be removed.

The star rating displayed on a Coach's profile is an automatically calculated average of all reviews that Coach has received. Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on genuine experience with the Coach; reviews that breach Section 4 (User Conduct) may be removed and may result in account suspension.

8. Level Verification ("Playtomic Verified")

Players may optionally submit a Playtomic profile URL and level for verification. If the submission is validated, the Player's level within the App will be automatically updated to match their submitted Playtomic level and the profile will be marked as "Playtomic Verified".

We reserve the right to reject, request further evidence for, or reverse a verification if we believe the submitted information is inaccurate, falsified, or no longer up to date.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Padel Arena is not responsible or liable for any injury, accident, loss, or damage that occurs during a lesson, match, or any other session arranged through the Platform. We are also not liable for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any lesson provided by a Coach, nor for any no-shows by either Players or Coaches.

If you experience an issue with another User, you can submit a report via Profile > Submit a Problem, or reflect your experience through the review system described in Section 7. Users are expected to remain respectful when doing so; abusive or defamatory reports or reviews may themselves result in account suspension under Section 4.

To the fullest extent permitted by Dutch law, Padel Arena's total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees, if any, paid by you to Padel Arena in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Platform itself — including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and branding — belong to Padel Arena or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

Content you submit to the Platform (such as your profile information, photos, and reviews, "User Content") remains yours. By submitting User Content, you grant Padel Arena a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload, and User Content must not infringe the rights of any third party.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, in particular Section 4 (User Conduct), or if required to do so by law.

You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time, subject to the completion of any pending bookings, payments, or refunds.

12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

We encourage Users to first attempt to resolve any disagreement directly with one another, or by contacting our support team via Settings > Report a Problem, or in relation to another User's conduct via Profile > Submit a Problem.

If a dispute between you and Padel Arena cannot be resolved informally, it will be governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and the competent courts of the Netherlands will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or for legal reasons. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the app and/or request that you re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
